For Release Upon Receipt - Wednesday, July 10, 2019

The Shridath Ramphal Centre for International Trade Law, Policy and Services (SRC) will be throwing its doors open to the public on Friday, July 12th, 2019.

The event will be held from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the SRC, located in the Caricom Research Park at the Cave Hill Campus, to showcase its established and upcoming work in Caribbeacaricom building-7-10-2019.jpgn trade policy research and services.

The SRC is the premier trade policy training institution in the Caribbean. It also provides research and outreach services for the wider Caribbean in trade, industrial and development policy matters.

A key element of Friday’s open day will be the roll-out of the SRC’s new website and the launch of the Post-Graduate Diploma in International Trade Policy Programme, which starts in September. The PGITP caters for students who only wish to complete core courses offered in four months.

The Centre also offers a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree, which is a 12-month full-time course that emphasizes critical thinking on trade policy matters, taught by well-renowned regional and international scholars, professionals and practitioners. The revamped course also includes a two-week study tour in a city or region of particular trade interest for the region and a three-month practical attachment to a national, regional or international institution or company with a trade or trade-related function.

The programme is celebrating 15 years, having been running since 2004.
